Many a times in daily life we go to a place, see someone or amidst serious discussions you find yourself saying or thinking that a similar situation or scene or words you had heard or is familiar with before. This is what is called Deja vu.
This word deja vu is a French word, which means already seen’. Like I was visiting a spiritual center the other day and there was a huge tree and when I went near it was like I had been there all my life. It was deja vu (Past Life Reading) very familiar for the fact that I had visited the place for the first time in my life.

Similar experiences are sited or are narrated all the time. But nobody really thinks too much of how such feelings arise or is experienced. Maybe they don’t have the time or even still they are obsessed with other serious matters as to just ignore such feelings of deja vu. Why does deja vu occur? Have we really experienced or are familiar with people, places or events that we see as deja vu? Arthur Funk Houser a Swiss scholar differentiates deja vu into Deja visite and Deja Vecu. The former denoted the already visited experiences and the latter reflects the already lived through and experienced insights. It is reported that nearly 70% of the people have had experienced deja vu at one time or another.
People in the age group between 15- 25 have experiences with the deja vu the most. Some identify this deja vu experiences to the temporal lobe epilepsy. Although people with good health also experience this it is really difficult to pin point the reason behind such strange experiences. Many scientists consider this as a fantasy or illusion. Whatever is encoded in the memory is expected to come back after even years after the actual incident. Therefore there is a chance of some past life connection to this deja vu experiences.
Experiences or events not completely encoded or attended to in the past might repeat as deja vu is what some feel too. Whatever the definitions someone who has experienced it can never deny the feelings and emotions associated with deja vu. It might also be a dim recollection of the images or news you have heard in the childhood. However many consider it as a psychic phenomenon.
Whatever it is to take it seriously or not depends upon every individual. As for me I think it definitely needs to be looked at. I keep going back to the place with the deja vu and try to get onto the same feeling again and again. But the deja vu feelings are not the same after the first experience as you have seen it already. For me these experiences are just coincidences at least after the first experience. Maybe I had seen the tree similar to the one I saw now as deja vu, maybe I had a deep fascination for the tree when I had been bared 2 or 3 years old in which case the memory was just there in the subconscious but my intellect couldn’t retrieve it when I wanted to.
Whatever the reason whether you believe it or not what are important are that many people can identify having such experiences. But finding a solution or giving a detailed research paper on the deja vu experience is a very complex affair. Many questions still remain unanswered in our minds and in this world. Some better remain unanswered because who knows what will happen to us when we do know the answers to such questions.
Deja vu can also define a phenomenon happening in the future. Some people just out the blue start illustrating things which might happen in the future. The other day I was seeing a movie called phenomenon and the hero was trying to track down a lost child and was predicting a massive earth quake. All this also can be termed as a deja vu. Many dismiss this future seeing experience as precognition and not deja vu.
All these experiences can be totally termed as paranormal experiences. Whether there was a birth before our present one or will we be born again is all uncertain and unknown. But these paranormal facts confuse us and induce us to question the past and future connection.
