Ghost stories for children up at Plattsburgh’s 1st paranormal expo
Ghost stories have long captivated children who get excited hearing horror stories before bedtime.
This time, ghost stories will be told by Gordy Little to adults and also to children during the First Annual Northern New York Paranormal Expo Paranormal Expo at Plattsburgh’s City Recreation Center on Oct. 24.
Gordy Little, locally known radio and television personality will also speak about his new book, Ghosts of Clinton County, during the event to be held from 10 a.m to 6 p.m, northcountrygazette.com reports.
“This will be a fun, entertaining and educational day for the whole family to enjoy,” says Merrill McKee, founder and president of Northern New York Paranormal Research Society.
NNYPRS was founded in 2001 and investigates claims of paranormal activity – from haunted homes to UFO sightings – throughout the entire North Country, down through Albany and beyond.
“With games, prizes, a bounce house, a haunted house, face painting, and more, children will enjoy the day as much as their parents while learning about the paranormal world”, McKee told North Country Gazette.
Other speakers include psychic intuitive Belle Salisbury, ghost whisperer Lindamarie Hill, UFO specialist Dan Lowenski, and Christopher and Shannon Nye, owners of Nye Manor which is an active haunted location. Other talks include paranormal investigators, dream interpretations, and experimental paranormal investigations equipment.
You won’t miss a vendor showcase of books, new age gifts and accessories, tarot cards, a spirit guide artist, reiki healing, psychic readers, handmade jewelry, herbal healing, massage, crystals, stones, tattoos, paranormal research teams, and Halloween decorations during the event.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for City Recreation Center gym members, students with a college ID, and senior citizens. Children 12 and under are free. Attendees can receive $1 off the price of admission for bringing a non-perishable food item for the Clinton County Food Shelf.
